Also, every year huge quantity of concrete is used for building construction in Oman. In this project work, iron waste was collected from Sohar steel plant and was mixed with concrete. The aim of this study is to determine the mechanical properties of concrete with iron waste to be compared with normal concrete. The percentages of iron waste can be added to concrete as 0%, 10%, 15% and 20% were based on literature review. For experimental work, cubes were casted with iron waste. Also, slump test was conducted to measure the workability of fresh concrete. Furthermore, density of concrete with and without iron waste was determined. Finally, compressive strength test of concrete cubes was done for C30 grade concrete. Test result shows that compressive strength is reducing by increasing iron waste percentage.
Aravind Namasivayam, Maryam Salim Al Jardani ##submission.copyrightStatement## http://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc/4.0 http://scitecresearch.com/journals/index.php/ieps/article/view/1433 Wed, 07 Mar 2018 00:00:00 +0000 Quantum Mechanical and Semi-Classical Electrostatics Characteristics on SOI (Silicon on Insulator) Trigates http://scitecresearch.com/journals/index.php/ieps/article/view/1688
Quantum mechanical model explains about the various kinds of atomic orbitals that are different in the amount of energy and shapes and classical electrostatics is the stationary electric charges. The charges are defined as positive and negative.

This paper discusses about Quantum mechanical and semi-classical electrostatic in a cross section (perpendicular) of a two dimensional trigate structures; its characteristics such as Quantum electron density, Classical electron density, classical potential distribution plots, its 6 wave functions for two different grids values are presented.
Manu Mitra ##submission.copyrightStatement## http://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc/4.0 http://scitecresearch.com/journals/index.php/ieps/article/view/1688 Thu, 24 Jan 2019 11:37:25 +0000 Thermoelectric Power Factor for various temperature gradients in Nanocrystalline Composites http://scitecresearch.com/journals/index.php/ieps/article/view/1689
Nanocrystalline are polycrystalline material that are very tiny particles with the dimension less than 100 nanometers. Nanocrystalline material can be estimated using x-ray diffraction.

In this paper; thermoelectric power factor for nanocrystalline graphs are plotted and compared with various temperature gradients (10K, 100K and 200K) such as seeback coefficient, electrical conductivity, power factor, subband plot, transmission plot, potential energy – centerline, electron density – centerline, current density – centerline, density of states – centerline and areal current density; values for graphs are also noted for further study.
Manu Mitra ##submission.copyrightStatement## http://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc/4.0 http://scitecresearch.com/journals/index.php/ieps/article/view/1689 Tue, 29 Jan 2019 12:22:04 +0000
